We had Ms C in out boudoir photo studio and we asked her to tell us about herself and here’s what she said: “I didn’t know I had the strength and courage to get away from domestic abuse until it happened. It was through that experience, though incredibly difficult to overcome, that I found beauty within myself in a way I never expected – my own definition of beauty. One day, while struggling with depression, I discovered boudoir photography – which celebrates unique beauty and strength in all individuals. It was during this time that I found the courage to become a domestic violence survivor, embracing my own beauty and strength. Now, with confidence gained from boudoir photography and overcoming domestic abuse, I have dedicated myself to helping other domestic violence survivors find their inner strength and beauty. I want them to know there is light at the end of the tunnel and that no matter what they’ve been through, they too deserve to be celebrated for their own unique beauty and strength!
Through my journey as a domestic violence survivor, I hope to inspire others who are going through similar situations – in addition to helping them realize their inner beauty – so that one day we can break down the stigma around domestic abuse together. I believe that beauty comes from within and domestic violence survivors are powerful, resilient individuals. With the right support and understanding, domestic violence survivors can be empowered to find their strength and beauty. Let’s work together to make sure domestic abuse victims everywhere are celebrated for their courage and resilience! “
