How Do I Pose for a Plus-Size Boudoir Photoshoot?
Posing will be taken care of for you – that’s my job, not yours!
I have been a professional boudoir photographer for almost a decade and have photographed hundreds of women. Part of my skill set lies in knowing how to make small changes that make a big difference – the slight arching of the back, adjusting the light a few degrees or pulling your elbow to the side just an inch or two. These little changes add up to something big: showcasing your beauty and sensuality in a way that you’ve never seen before. All you have to do is show up and give yourself permission to enjoy the experience.
One of the things I love most about my curvy boudoir clients is seeing how liberated and confident they feel just minutes into the photos session. My clients say that it’s a transformational experience where they get to show off their bodies in a way they’ve always wanted to.
What Should I Wear for My Plus-Size Boudoir Photoshoot?
Our studio provides expert styling and wardrobe guidance throughout your experience. We will send you a prep guide before your shoot with photos and links of outfits, lingerie sets and accessories that look great on camera. We’ll give you tips on the most flattering lingerie for your body shape and help you choose your favorite pieces based on your style. Some of my top recommendations always include high-waisted undies, bodysuits, underwire bras and corsets. You might even want to do some implied nude or fully nude photos as part of your boudoir photoshoot experience. We can do a full photoshoot with just bed sheets and rose petals, if you’d like!
What Is A Curvy Boudoir Session Like?
Before your shoot, we’ll chat about your boudoir session and go over any questions or concerns you might have. We will also discuss your vision for the shoot in more detail. We customize every photoshoot for each individual woman.. We will send you a prep guide with everything you need to know for your shoot so that you feel fully prepared.
On the day of your photoshoot, you will have your hair and makeup professionally styled by our beauty team, including lashes. Then the magic begins! I’ll turn on some music, guide you through the first poses, and in no time you’ll be relaxed and having more fun than you imagined. While you are in front of the camera, we will tell you exactly how to pose and what to do. You don’t even really have to think. Just relax and follow our directions and let us create beautiful images of you. Right after your shoot, while you are still at the studio, we will show you a slideshow of your images and you will get to design an album and prints for your wall. The best part of the whole experience is enjoying the images for years to come!
