The lovely Ms. M. was recently in our beautiful Southeast Michigan studio for her boudoir photo shoot. We asked her for her thoughts on a few matters, and her answers are shared below.
What is your favorite non physical feature about yourself:
“I believe I am an empath. An empath is defined as having the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing.”
Tell me your story. What life experiences have made you who you are today?
“I was a single parent at a very young age. Having my daughter at the age of 19, almost 20, and being a sophomore in college gave me the strength, determination and drive to be a better person for the well being of myself and my daughter. She paved the way for me to overcome any challenges that come my way. On days when I feel like giving up, I think of my daughter looking up to me and how let down she would be if I did give up. I am the woman I am today because of my daughter.”
What is your definition of beauty?
“I believe that beauty comes from within.”
How does being the woman you are today make you uniquely powerful?
“I have been through so much to become the woman I am today. Realizing that no one can take that away from me is what makes me powerful.”
What do you remember learning about beauty at a young age?
“I remember hearing that beauty comes from within. I also think that there is beauty in the authenticity of oneself, regardless of color, body type and lifestyle status.”
Do you think you’re beautiful?
“Yes, I do.”
What words of wisdom would you share with others who struggle to see their own beauty?
“Every day you open your eyes is another day to be thankful for your life.”
Is there anything else you would like to add?
“Yes. I am so excited for this experience!”
